Krištof kintera

This flagpole is a sad monument commemorating cyclists who died in traffic accidents. At the level of the eyes of passers-by, there is a dedication to Jan Pup Bouchal written on the pole who suffered severe injuries at the formerly hazardous intersection on Nábřeží Kapitána Jaroše and died as a result of the accident. Jan Pup Bouchal was one of the promoters of cycling in the city, and he was a member of the association Automat and Oživení.

 

The artist Krištof Kintera designed the monument. Our engineer Martin Svoboda ensured that the bicycle would be attached safely and that the pole would stay firm with the bike even during a strong wind. In detail, you can notice our typically round pole door.
